THREE caravans have been destroyed by fire in St Osyth.
The vehicles were being stored in Beach Road and were empty when the fire broke out at 2.20pm today.
It took crews from Clacton and Weeley just over an hour to put out the blaze.
Sub officer Scott Hepburn, from Clacton fire station, said: "The caravans were being stored on private land and were not occupied at the time of the fire.
"The fire service and Essex police will carry out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire."
