A TOP parachute display team will sail through the sky in their first Clacton Airshow appearance.
The Tigers are the flagship team of the Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment and much in demand for their spectacular airborne performances.
The parachutists produce dazzling mid-air formations as they plummet towards the ground, leaving smoke trails as they drop.
One of the team even provides a live commentary to the audience during the display, which ends with a splash as they land in the sea.
The airshow is organised by Tendring Council and takes place on August 27 and 28.
Its leisure boss, Mick Skeels, said: “It is a couple of years now since we have had a parachute display team on the programme and it will be the first time that a team will be dropping into the sea.
“Previous displays have all involved landing on the beach and this will be something totally new.”
The Tigers join the Clacton Airshow line-up alongside the Chinook helicopter, Sally B Flying Fortress and the Red Arrows.
More star attractions will be announced in the build-up to the show.
