A FORMER lifeboat which helped evacuate the British Army from Dunkirk is to re-enact the historic voyage with 50 other “little ships” next month to mark the 75th anniversary of the heroic rescue mission.
Now based in the Walton Backwaters, the Stenoa was one of a fleet of 700 private boats which sailed from Ramsgate to the French coast to rescue more than 338,000 British and French soldiers trapped on the beaches by the Germans.
