PLANS for five new homes on a plot of land in Walton have been given the thumbs-down by town councillors.
A planning application has been launched to build five houses off Old Hall Lane. But Frinton and Walton Town Council has recommended refusal of the scheme.
Walton councillor Alec Moss said: “They would be nice houses, but our original objection that it was unsustainable still stands.
"That site is not the right place.”
The town council recommended refusal, but Tendring Council will make the final decision.
