TENDRING’S waste boss has pleaded for residents to recycle more after shocking figures revealed the district has one of the worst recycling rates in the country.
The call comes after new statistics were released showing Tendring recycles, reuses or composts just 27 per cent of household waste through kerbside collections.
The figure compares to a huge 65 per cent in Rochford and 53 per cent in Uttlesford.
