A MAN has spoken of his relief after winning his long battle against eviction from a mobile home park.
Brian Telchadder, 49, received an eviction order from Meadow View Park, in St Osyth Road, Little Clacton, four years ago.
He had admitted using threatening words or behaviour at Colchester Magistrates’ Court in 2010.
The court heard he had roamed around the site behaving like a Ninja, swinging a 7ft stick and frightening elderly residents.
It was also alleged he threatened to kill those who had reported him to police.
When police raided his home, they seized air pistols and a Samurai sword.
Mr Telchadder claimed his neighbours were conspiring to get him evicted.
He chose a seven-day prison sentence instead of paying a £180 fine.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court overturned previous court rulings that park owners Wickland Holdings were entitled to evict him.
The court said Mr Telchadder was “somewhat eccentric” and suffered “certain mental problems”, but had never intended to carry out his threats to kill.
They said the fact he had behaved himself for three years meant his challenge to the eviction should succeed.
The former heroin addict had taken his case to the Supreme Court after the Court of Appeal ruled against him.
Mr Telchadder, who has remained in his home during his legal battle, spoke of his relief after Law Lords overturned the eviction order.
