A POLAR explorer with more than 30 years’ experience appears at Clacton Arts and Lits next week.
Jim McNeill, who has appeared on productions as diverse as Frozen Planet and Captain America, has been described as having “canoe-like thighs, hands which could crush walnuts and a gnarled nose like a benign killer”.
The daredevil will reveal the secrets behind staying alive in sub-zero temperatures, discuss whether there is anything left for explorers to discover and detail how he has trained more than 300 novices to join high-risk expeditions with his Ice Warrior Project.
Tickets for Monday’s Princes Theatre show are £10 on the door from 7.15pm.
