A POPULAR event aimed at helping the elderly to stay safe is being staged for the third time next month.
There was a full house for the Older Persons’ Crucial Crew initiative in Clacton last year and organisers are hoping for a similar turnout again this year.
Advice will be given on safety, cold callers, rogue traders and consumer rights, carers’ health and wellbeing, as well as scams and how to avoid them.
Groups at the free event include the emergency services, CAB, Trading Standards, Tendring Council and Careline.
It takes place at the Princes Theatre on October 1, from 10am to 4pm.
To register, call Charlotte Root on 01255 686359 or e-mail croot@tendringdc.gov.uk
