AN interim director has been appointed by Colchester's troubled hospital trust.
Lynn Lane has been appoined as interim director of human resources and organisational development at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust.
She has more than 25 years of experience in the public sector including working for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and the BBC.
She said: "I am proud to have the opportunity to play my part to ensure we have a highly-engaged and effective workforce delivering the highest levels of care for our patients.”
She replaces Melanie Whitfield, director of human resources and organisational development, who announced her resignation last month.
CHUFT was put into special measures by the health sector regulator Monitor in November.
An investigation found the trust has breached its licence to provide health services after the Care Quality Commission said cancer care at the trust was inadequate.
The appointment will be initially for six months while the Trust looks to recruit a permanent director.
