MEMBERS of the Frinton War Memorial Club visited Belgium to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War.
Thirty members from the club visited battlefields and graves surrounding Ypres, accompanied by a tour guide.
The group was also invited to take part in the last post ceremony at the Menin Gate, an event organised to mark the centenary.
Club chairman Paul Kendall left a wreath at the Menin Gate Monument as part of the occasion.
Next year the club members hope to visit the Somme to pay tribute to fallen soldiers from Frinton.
