WITNESSES are being urged to come forward after a 12-year-old cyclist was hurt in a hit and run collision in Clacton.

The school boy was hit by a silver Ford Ka as he was cycling over a zebra crossing on his BMX bicycle.

The incident happened in St Osyth Road, close to the junction with Coopers Lane at 3.10pm on January 21.

The youngster suffered minor bumps and bruises.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call PC Sophie Gooch at Clacton police station on 101.
