Man robbed after being hit from behind in Clacton

A MAN was robbed after being hit from behind by attackers in Clacton.

The 33-year-old man was walking along Old Road when he was hit at about 4pm on Monday.

While he was on the ground the robbers searched his pockets and took a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and cash.

A spokesman for Essex Police said the victim was left shocked and bruised following the attack.

The robbers are described as white, aged between 16 and 20 and about 5 ft 10ins tall.

One was wearing a black Adidas hooded top, blue jeans and black trainers and had a scarf covering his face.

The other was of slimmer build and was wearing a grey hooded top and had a black scarf around face.

Witnesses are asked to call Det Con Luke Howard, at Clacton CID, on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
