Elliot, aged 7, wins first pro role in Madam Butterfly
A BUDDING star from Clacton has landed his first role in a professional show.
Elliot Thickbroom, aged seven, is appearing alongside the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus.
The Engaines Primary School pupil was chosen from the Youth Theatre Workshops at Clacton’s Princes Theatre for a role in Madam Butterfly at the Princes Theatre next month.
Elliot has been attending the workshops for the past year and loves singing, dancing and acting.
“It’s only a small part but I am really looking forward to being involved - I’m really excited about it,” he said.
Madam Butterfly is at the Princes on February 24, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £29.50 (£27.50 concessions) from the box office on 01255 686633.
