X FACTOR hopefuls District 3 made it through to the next round in the competition.
Greg, who is from Clacton and went to school in Dovercourt and Manningtree, sang a mash up of Beggin' and Turn up the Music with band mates Micky Parsons and Dan Ferrari-Lane.
The performance was praised by the judges.
Gary Barlow said: “I have to say you're the revelation of the night.
“I'm so impressed.”
They have even picked up a celebrity fan, with One Direction's Zayn Malik tweeting about them.
He said: “District 3 deffo my fave of the bands this year badman performance lads.”
