Crime rate in Tendring falls over last three years

CRIME in Tendring has fallen over the last three years according to newly released figures.
The crime rate for all crime in the Tendring area has decreased from 14.06 per 1000 of the population in the quarter ending March 31 2009 compared to 13.28 in the same quarter this year.
In the year ending March 31 2012, the crime rate in Tendring was 61.21 crimes per 1000 of the population. This is about the same as the average crime rate in similar areas such as Stafford and Solihull.
The figures, available at police.uk, also show Tendring has a lower crime rate than Harlow, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Thurrock and Brentwood and Epping Forest.
But Tendring has a higher crime rate compared to Colchester, Chelmsford and Maldon, Braintree and Uttlesford and Rochford and Castle Point.
