Police hunt for firearm in Holland-on-Sea armed robbery case

POLICE are still on the hunt for clues in connection with an armed robbery at a post office.

Police dog handlers and a specialist search team scoured fields along Tan Lane in Little Clacton this morning.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were carrying out a search as part of the on-going search for a firearm in connection with the armed robbery in Holland-on-Sea.

“Nothing significant was found.”

Approximately £3000 was stolen from the Post Office in Stratford Road, Holland-on-Sea, at gun point on Wednesday October 3.
