Clacton teen needs quiz teams to help raise charity cash
11:00am Friday 28th September 2012 in News
A TEENAGER has organised a quiz night to raise cash for charity.
Lewis Richards, 16, from Clacton, decided to organise the event after one of former science teachers was diagnosed with cancer.
The quiz night will be held at St Paul’s Church Hall on St Paul’s Road, Clacton.
It will take place from 7pm on Friday October 12.
Lewis said: “My science teacher was such an inspiration to me and a huge role model, and I wanted to help her and people like her by raising money to go to charity.”
Quiz master for the event will be Cancer Research UK volunteer Darren Couchman.
He said: “It’s fantastic to have the support of Lewis. The younger generation are coming out in force to support our work and it’s so nice to see.
“Lewis has worked really hard in organising this quiz night and I’m sure it will be a fun and successful night.”
Lewis still needs more teams to take part to make the event a success.
