Young bands face off in Clacton contest

THE second round of a battle of the bands competition for young musicians will take place on Friday.
The competition has been set up to support budding musicians and raise cash for Brightlingsea youth club 4Youth.
It has been organised for a second year running after proving very successful last year.
One of the organisers, Adrian Simcock said: “Last year we raised more than £700 for the club, so we wanted to put it on again this year.
“Round one went well and we are hoping the next round and the final will be even bigger and better.”
The second round will take place at the Geisha Hotel in Clacton on Friday from 7pm.
