KEEN cyclists are needed to ride 300 miles across two countries for charity.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has ten places in the London to Paris bike ride next year.

Participants will ride along the Champs Elysees the day before the Tour De France finale and get to watch the event on its 100th anniversary.

Jo Colbert, EACH Essex Partnerships Manager, said: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tour De France, cycle along the Champs Elysees like countless Tour De France competitors have done and raise funds for a such an important charity.

“Great Britain has seen great successes in cycling this year, with Bradley Wiggins winning the 2012 Tour De France, and the GB cycling team winning 12 medals, 8 of which were gold, in the London 2012 Olympics, which will be inspiring people to get in the saddle.”

The ride will start in London on July 17 and finish on July 21.

To bid for a place visit or email Jo Colbert at with your contact details, why you want to fundraise for EACH and how much you think you can raise by Sunday 30th September.

Places cost £149 and you should raise a minimum of £1,650 sponsorship.
