Smokers to get free help kicking habit in mass quit drive

FREE nicotine replacement products are being offered to smokers across north east Essex.
Part of the stop smoking drive 'Stoptober', it is the first mass quit attempt launched by the Department of Health, which starts next month.
The offer is being led by Anglian Community Enterprise, which runs the Colchester and Tendring NHS Stop Smoking Service.
The initiative takes smokers through a detailed step-by-step programme to help them quit.
Co-ordinator Sue White said: “We are fully behind this excellent initiative and to give local people the best possible chance of success, we are offering people a ten-week course of nicotine replacement products.”

Smoking is a necessary evil in this country if we want the taxes. I don't smoke and hate the smell of smoke but it is the right of anyone to smoke if they so wish just as it is the right of anyone not to smoke and not allow smokers into their homes and smoke.

If everyone gave up smoking where would the government get the lost taxes? Many people would be thrown out of work and there would then be more job seekers and more money paid out in benefits.

A true need for further legal action!

hate the smelly ash trays,
hate the discarded ciggarette butts on the street.
but then,
I smoked "once upon a time"
gave up back in mid `80`s thankfully.
Credit where credits due,
IF your brave enough, to go and find out "IF" you can get help in quiting a disgusting habit,
one that kills you,
one that keeps you poor,
one that makes you smell like an ashtray,
then my friends, may god give you the strength and will power to see it through.
Why not try,
It can only kill you if you dont stop...
