Fire crews called to bungalow blaze in Jaywick

FIRE crews were called to a blaze at a bungalow in Jaywick.
Crews from Clacton and Weeley were sent to the detached property in Gorse Way at about 12.25pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “The roof was 50 percent alight and the property was 100 percent smoke logged.
“Crews wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire by 1.30pm.”
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.
