Frank Lampard haunt is best restaurant in Essex

ENGLAND football star Frank Lampard’s favourite Essex restaurant has been voted the best in the county.
The Sun Inn, in High Street, Dedham, has been given the accolade by the 2013 Good Food Guide.
Piers Baker, who bought the Sun Inn in 2003, said the highly regarded review was very hard to come by.
“We’re maybe serving between 1,000 and 1,500 customers a week and have no idea who the inspectors are, so we have got to be on our game all the time,” he said.
He added: “It’s about getting a good balance between a good pub and fine dining.”
The restaurant regularly attracts England footballer Frank Lampard, while staff have also served former Conservative cabinet minister Michael Portillo.
