Zoe Newson in shock after bronze medal powerlifting win
POWERLIFTER Zoe Newson was left in total shock after storming to a brilliant bronze at the Paralympic Games.
The 20-year-old, from East Bergholt, equalled her personal best of 88kg in the women’s -40kg category at the Excel Centre.
It was a dream result in her very first Paralympics.
And afterwards she tweeted: “I can’t believe what just happened.
“Thanks everyone for their support. It means a lot.”
