Burglars steal £15,000 fishing gear haul from Brightlingsea garage

A MASSIVE haul of fishing gear was stolen by burglars in Brightlingsea.

Thieves forced their way into a garage in Lower Park Road to get their hands on the equipment, which is worth about £15,000.

It happened between 8pm on Friday August 10 and 9am the next day.

Investigating officer det con Roger Henderson said: “We are looking to speak with anyone who saw any suspicious, unusual activity on this road late on that Friday night or early hours of Saturday morning.

“We would also like to hear from any people who have recently been offered fishing equipment in an unusual way.”
