Identical Walton twins secure Chicken Tonight tv advert role

IDENTICAL twins from Walton flapped their way into a national tv advert after creating a chicken dance Youtube video.

Sarah and Amanda Wood, both 20, took part in a competition to appear in a new advert for sauce company Chicken Tonight.

They made a video of themselves dancing and rollerblading while doing the famous ‘elbows out’ chicken dance around Walton.

The twins were invited to Leeds to take part in filming for the new advert last week.

It will start airing in September.

Sarah said: “We can’t wait to see ourselves on tv."

Despite flapping their arms like chickens around Walton’s hotspots, including the beach, Sarah said they did not get as many funny looks as she expected.

“A few people stopped to watch us while we were doing it, but we picked a time when it was pretty empty so not too many people were around,” she added.

“We had no idea how many other people had entered, but I don’t think we ever really thought anything would come of it.

“Then we got an email saying we had won. We were both so excited.

“It was amazing to be a part of it and we just can’t wait to see it now.”

The twins also danced in the opening ceremony of the Olympics after impressing in an audition.
