A baby seal found washed up at Clacton Pier is being nursed back to health.
Maintenance worker, Martin Taylor, discovered the pup caught up in stray fishing nets on the pier’s landing stage on Wednesday afternoon.
He managed to cut the seal free but it was so exhausted it would not be coaxed back out to sea.
Staff took him in to the pier’s aquarium centre where he is enjoying some well deserved rest and lots of oily fish.
