Last tenant for rent free Clacton town centre shop
12:00pm Tuesday 31st July 2012 in News By Lorraine Price
A MUM and daughter will be teaming up and trying out their own business in a town centre store.
Pearl Wilkinson and her daughter Jennie Weavers collected the keys for Clacton’s pop-up shop in Jackson road earlier this week.
They will be selling a large selection of gifts, handmade cards, wedding invitations and favours as well as card and scrapbook-making materials, and nappy cakes which are baby gifts for expectant
parents.
Doors to the Chameleon shop will open for business tomorrow.
For three months they will try out the shop rent and rate free as part of Tendring Council’s scheme to give budding
entrepreneurs a chance to test the market.
