Former town hall to become bookies

A HISTORIC building which was once Clacton’s town hall will reopen as a bookies.

Betting firm Coral has been given permission to move into the 1890s building, which has been empty since Barclays Bank moved out last year.

Plans for the building, on the corner of Rosemary Road and the High Street, were approved by Tendring Council planning officers by delegated decision.
