Ambulances in Tendring to be axed in latest cuts

LIFESAVING ambulances are being axed from stations across in Tendring it has been revealed.
In a bid to save £50million the East of England Ambulance Service is set to slash the number of 24-hour ambulance crews on the roads.
Harwich will keep its ambulance while Clacton and Frinton will each lose one and Weeley both its full time ambulances.
Colchester will go down to just one 24-hour ambulance from its current three.
Details have not yet been made public, but staff have been told about the cuts in special meetings.

within 8 minutes of my call a ambulance was outside and i was in colchester within 45 minutes well done guys.
With the new proposals i am guessing the wait would of been much longer.

This sort of cutback may be hugely attractive in saving government money but we should remember that the governments money is merely that which is paid in by us tax payers.
To cut back on ambulances and therefore medical provision is wrong.
Perhaps the plan is to leave patients to die before arriving, thereby avoiding any further healthcare costs.
