Suspended sentence for rabbit cruelty

A WOMAN has been given a suspended prison sentence for causing unnecessary suffering to rabbits in Clacton.

Heather Thomson, 26, admitted the offence at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.

She was given a two-month suspended sentence.

The animals were confiscated and she was banned from keeping animals for five years.

Thomson, of Third Avenue, Enfield, was also ordered to pay £200 costs.
