Police search for man after antique store burglary

A BURGLAR raided an antiques shop to steal a hoard of jewellery and clocks.

The crook smashed a window to get into Cellar Clocks and Antiques in Victoria Place, Brightlingsea.

It happened between 12.15am and 12.30am on March 8.

The stolen items include rings, bracelets, broaches, sovereigns, watches and carriage clocks.

Police want to interview 23 year-old Thomas Turner in connection with the burglary, and are appealing for help in tracking him down.

Turner was last known to be living in the Dagenham area, but also has links to Clacton, Brightlingsea and Southend.

He is described as white, 5ft 9in tall with a slim build, brown eyes and short dark hair.
