A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Clacton.
Daniel Yates, 40, of Araglen Avenue, South Ockendon, is the third man to appear in court following the assault on Jamie Usedon, 23, in Dudley Road.
He appeared before Colchester Magistrates Court on Saturday and was charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on May 28.
Two other men have also been charged following the incident.
Robert Knight, 50, of Lowlands Road, Aveley, and Dale Frame, 25, of Broxburn Drive in South Ockendon, have both been charged with grievous bodily harm.
They will also appear at the crown court on the same date.
A 30-year-old man from the Grays area, who was arrested on Wednesday, has been released on bail until April 24.
Mr Usedon was taken to Colchester General Hospital following the incident. His injuries were described as serious.
He is said to be in a stable condition.
