WALKERS took to the sea front on Sunday to raise money for life-saving dogs.
More than 30 people walked from Walton Pier to Clacton Pier in aid of Medical Detection Dogs, a charity that trains puppies to spot the early warning signs of health problems.
The event was organised by Barbara Booth after her niece, Kelly Sears, was one of the first narcoleptics in the country to be given a support dog, called Theo.
The event raised £3,600 which will go towards Mrs Booth’s £5,000 target for the year.
To donate to the appeal contact Mrs Booth on 01255 814496. Read more in tomorrow's Clacton Gazette.
