A SUICIDAL man sparked a major search after claiming he had taken an overdose and threatening to walk into the sea.
The police helicopter and coastguard joined the hunt for the 54-year-old along Walton and Frinton seafront last night.
The search lasted more than an hour after the man called police and threatened to kill himself.
The man was taken to hospital after eventually being found walking near the seafront in Frinton.
