Fishermen rescued by lifeboat

LIFEBOAT crews were called to the aid of two fishermen stranded on a yacht five miles off Walton.

Walton RNLI Lifeboat was called to the aid of the 24ft angling boat Blue Reef, which fouled its propeller at about 2.10pm on Sunday.

The boat and its occupants were towed to Shotley Marina, where they were met by Holbrook Coastguard.
