Info about Band:

The Peppermint Apes started out in August 2008 as Ryan Stanton put together an acoustic set of songs as support for the fantastic Marc Bolan Tribute TooREX, at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon. Ryan Stanton, asked a few of his close friends to help him put the show together. They only had two weeks notice to rehearse up a cool set for the gig of their musical young lives.Following the positive response they received on the back of the show, the next logical step was to go the next chapter and officially form the band.

The 6th October 2008 was a fantastic day for the group as they went into Arcade Studios, Hockley with the brilliant engineer Pete Booker to record the track "Miracle To Me". The forth coming video has had thousands of hits on YOU TUBE! Shortly after "Miracle to Me", The band were receiving radio play the world over, With an appearance on Diito TV and also playing the NEC in Birmingham and playing the IPO International pop festival at the World famous Cavern in Liverpool, the first few months for the band were a bit hectic. In late summer 2009 Helene Bricks a manager/promotor from Brussels took an instant shine to the band when she discovered them on Myspace, after a few consrutuctive conversations with Colin Stanton the bands Manager, it was agreed that Helene was to look after the band interests in Europe!

During the summer of 2008 the band started to develope their now unique sound, they recorded more tracks, filled the spare time with gigs in London and Essex, and then their manager started to have a few interesting conversations with music industry chiefs in the United States.A tour of the states looked a possibility, but proved to be a reallity when Fearless TV in New York confirmed that they wanted the band on their famous show on the 7th November! Things soon snowballed, and they were asked to play on the New York leg of the IPO festival at Kenny Castaways, and another TV slot came their way when they were asked to appear on the Jump TV special presented by Vaughn Oliver. They filled a very interesting six days in the Apple with gigs in Brooklyn and Crash Mansion in China Town. Yet another TV slot was offered, so the guys gladly excepted the invitation and jetted down to Austin Texas, where they appeared on the Fox 7 show Good morning Texas.

When they arrived back in England in late November, Dakota Williams contacted the bands management, and within a few weeks the band signed to DIBWAC from Texas, who will be looking after the bands interest in the USA. The band had now reached a turning point, things were beginning to happen fast, it was agreed within the management that an album was needed to promote the band, and that a fourth member was required to fulfill the bands potential. After many auditions the guys welcomed into the frame David Thorpe, He brought to the band a totally different dimension as he played keyboards and mouth organ.Davids first gig with The Peppermint Apes was at The Lakeside venue Frimley park, where the guys played with the famous Jim Davidson! The album was completed in early January 2010 and was launched within a European tour of Belgium, Holland and France. A second tour to the States is being planned for late summer 2010 and in April a specialialy commisioned fly on the wall documentary filmed by Jerry Sanders is to be released, with the BBC showing a keen interest in airing the film. The documentary will show the guys at work and at play on various locations in New York and is a fun must see film!
