CAMPAIGNERS who want to keep an “iconic” red telephone box in Frinton are hoping to raise money with a new initiative.
The old-style call box at Gun Gardens, in Connaught Avenue, was saved after town councillors stumped up cash as part of BT’s Sponsor a Kiosk scheme.
But Frinton in Bloom has now teamed up with Frinton photographer Colin Brooks to raise funds for the maintenance of the box next year.
The photographer will be selling framed pictures of the red telephone box, taken during the recent snow, for £30.
The picture is on sale at Frinton Photo and Video Centre in Connaught Avenue.
