PART of Clacton's seaside promenade has been ruled off-limits after cracks appeared in a wall.
A 50ft-long exclusion zone has been set up to protect the public after the wall became unstable.
Bosses at Tendring Council blamed arctic weather conditions earlier this year for causing the damage.
The damage has been caused to a section of wall between Pier Gap and the Atlanta cafe. It helps hold up the banking below the ladies' toilets.
The area has been cordoned off with fencing and danger signs.
