Walton: Unique race set to start at Naze

A UNIQUE race across land and sea is set to get underway in Walton.

The Amphibian Playground adventure will see competitors race across headland at the Naze before taking to the Walton Backwaters in kayaks.

The event is being run by Sport Essex and is designed to be “extreme fun” for thrill-seekers.

It is made up of two races – the Naze Channel Challenge for participants with little experience, and the Horsey Island Circumnavigation for those with more experience.

The race will start at the Naze Tower at 9.30am on Saturday.
