A BOY has been arrested following reports a teenager had been raped in Clacton.
Police were called to Stanley Road, near the junction of Rush Green Road, between 12.30am and 1am on Monday morning.
A 16-year-old from Clacton was arrested on suspicion of rape and has since been released under investigation.
The victim has been safeguarded and is being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesman for the police force said it is believed to be an isolated incident.
