A MAN has been jailed for three years for forcing his way into a property and stealing a wedding ring, jewellery, laptop, antique lighter and a handbag.
Appearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday Barry Smith, of Langham Drive, Clacton, was sentenced to three years in jail.
The unemployed 38-year-old admitted three burglaries and two attempted burglaries which happened in St Osyth Road on April 30.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We reviewed CCTV at the address and quickly identified Smith before arresting him at around 7.10pm that day.
"While on remand in custody, Smith admitted four other offences."
