A CONSTRUCTION company in Clacton has helped to turn an old double-decker bus into a school library.
Volunteers from Phelan Construction, based in Brunel Road, teamed up with KLH Architects for the project at Pot Kiln Primary School in Sudbury.
The much-needed library – once a Hedingham’s bus – has been decorated using designs by the children and is named after popular teaching assistant Miranda Knights, who died in 2016.
The original library had been demoted to a corridor because of the school’s growth in recent years.
Phelan Construction offered their services free-of-charge and also managed to help get donations of materials for the project from suppliers.
