A BID to raise the St George flag outside Clacton Town Hall to celebrate England’s patron saint will be debated by councillors.
Tendring Council already flies flags outside the town hall to mark Armed Forces Day, Merchant Navy Day and Commonwealth Day.
But Peter Bruff ward councillor Andrew Pemberton has put forward a motion calling for the St George flag to fly outside the town hall for other occasions, including on St George’s Day.
Council bosses have already agreed for the flag to be flown during England matches for the World Cup.
It will be debated by the council on July 3.
