TWO teenagers have been arrested following beach hut arsons in Walton.
The Tendring Community Policing Team have arrested two 17-year-old local males on suspicion of arson following a spate of beach hut fires in the Walton area.
The pair were arrested following intelligence being received from the local community.
Both males have been released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
Pc Sam Harris said, "Having spoken to a victim of one of these fires today it really does hit home the devastating impact these crimes have on the owners and their wider family.
"It's not just the hut that has been destroyed but years of family memories and treasured possessions.
"I would urge anyone who has information which could assist us in bringing the offenders for these crimes to justice to contact me on 101."
