PLANS to expand a school in Holland-on-Sea in a £56,000 investment have been submitted.
Essex County Council have published a proposal to expand Holland Haven Primary School with effect from September, 1 2019.
The school currently has the capacity for 315 pupils but will be increased to 420 and would enable the school to admit 15 additional reception children each year.
Plans for the expansion came about as a result of a rising birth rate and inward migration meaning there is an increasing demand for primary school places in Clacton.
The cost of the development will be footed through Essex County Council’s Capital Programme at the cost of £56,865.
You can make representations on the notice by emailing school.organisation@essex.gov.uk.
