A MAN has died after being 'found in the sea' earlier this morning.
Emergency services were contacted shortly after 8am today with reports a man had been found in the sea near The Esplanade, Frinton.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to reports of a male who was unconscious and not breathing.
A 69-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "Multiple emergency vehicles were sent including an air ambulance and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team.
"The clinicians administered advanced life support on scene but despite their best efforts the patient was pronounced deceased at scene."
The circumstances around his death are not being treated as suspicious.
His family have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
