A MAN in his 50s was robbed by three women in Clacton town centre.

The victim was walking along Station Road, towards Pallister Road, at 1am on when he was approached by the women on Sunday.

All three women were reported to have been carrying a can of alcohol each and two spoke with a London accent.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "They asked him for money and when he declined, they continued to follow him.

"They then asked a second time for cash and when the victim refused a second time, they grabbed him and took his mobile phone and wallet before running off.

"The man was uninjured."

The first suspect is described as being white, around 5ft tall, aged in her late 30s and is of a large build with black shoulder length hair. She wore a short sleeved white blouse.

The second suspect is described as white, around 6ft tall, aged in her 40s, of an athletic build with shoulder length light brown hair. She wore a green coat with a hood.

The third suspect is described as white, around 5ft tall, of a slim build with blonde tied back hair. She wore a light blue jacket.
