A PARKESTON woman who sadly died in a car crash has been described as a “well liked” member of the community who will be “missed by all who knew her”.

Jill Seaman, 72, of Foster Road, Parkeston, was killed in a road traffic collision after her blue Peugeot 206 left the road and went into the Dovercourt Dock River, on August 1.

Members of the coastguard and ambulance service entered the water to try and save her but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bill Davidson, chairman of Parkeston residents’ association, said Jill was a well liked member of the community.

He said: “It’s very sad and she will be really missed by Parkeston villagers.

“Jill was very well liked in the village by those who knew her and she will be sadly missed.”
