A WOMAN has been charged with multiple offences following an incident in Ramsey.

Zena Jacombs, 42, of Clayton Road, Ramsey has been charged with grievous bodily harm, common assault, assault on a police officer, threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place and using threatening or abusive words in a public place.

She has been remanded and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Police were called to Clayton Road, shortly before 6pm on Tuesday, following a report that a man had been stabbed.

The man, who is in his 20s, was taken by air ambulance to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "The man is being treated for injuries which are serious, but not believed to be life threatening."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 5.39pm to reports of a man with stab wounds.

"A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, ambulance officer and the HEMS air ambulance attended and treated a man in his 20s."
