A PARENT teacher association received a generous donation of two gas barbecues for their annual summer fair which raised nearly £7,000.
Holland Park Primary School School’s summer fair was made possible after barbecues were supplied by Ellison Solicitors and Searles Financial Planning.
The generous donation was needed after the school’s old equipment had been destroyed by poor weather. The event was a vital part of the school’s fundraising plans.
The school raised an impressive £6,942 after staging a fun-filled day, including pizza provided by Domino’s, inflatable fun from Col’s Castles, and fitness group Bounce demonstrated their routines.
Michelle Smith, chairman of the parent-teachers association said: “We are so grateful to both companies as the barbecue is one of the most loved stalls at all our events thanks to our barbecue kings, headed up by our PTA dads.
“The donations of both barbecues made this day possible and it’s to help the children who are still in education.”
All the money raised will fund activities such as Christmas trips to the pantomime and providing children with water bottles.
